The workshop will feature local professionals including an estate planning attorney and land conservation specialists, as well as local landowners sharing their estate planning and land conservation experiences.

“Your land is a part of your legacy. Deciding what will happen to your land after you are gone may be the most important step you can take as a landowner, not just for your own benefit, but for the benefit of your family, your community, and, of course, your land,” said Jay Rasku, coordinator of the event, in a prepared statement. “The future landscape of Worcester County will be determined by the actions of individual landowners. Many are not aware of estate planning and land conservation tools that can help them save money, save taxes, avoid probate court, and keep all or some of their land in its current natural state.”
