Letter to the Editor: Don't Be Forced into Library Project
There must be better options, writer says.

Despite the bargaining, cajoling and lobbying of the Trustees, no money has been saved since the closure of the South and North Grafton branches three years ago.
What we have seen is neighbors stepping up to the plate to volunteer and keep the Nelson Library open. People are helping people. People are keeping books in the hands of their children and their neighbors children. This is a real service and real community spirit. This is what makes Grafton such a wonderful place to live.Â
Grafton is about people who care about each other and who put that concern into action. There must be other options for the library on the Common, options that will not force seniors and other retirees to seek a less expensive place to live.
