Man Charged in Fatal Crash Said He Was in Bar Fight: Police
The South Grafton man is charged with killing two young men and critically injuring a third.

The Grafton man charged in a crash that killed two young men and critically injured a third fled the scene and was later located at an emergency room where he said he had been in a bar fight, police reports said.
Robert Curran, 22, of 33 Buttercup Lane, South Grafton, has been charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in personal injury/death, two counts of homicide by negligent operation, one count of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and speeding.
He was driving a 2001 Acura, which police say crashed into a 2005 Acura driven by Andres Guzman, 18, of Worcester. Guzman and a passenger, Joel Rodriguez, were killed.

Another passenger, Jesus Molina, remained in critical condition this afternoon in the intensive care unit at UMass Memorial Medical Center _ University Campus.
The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 at 130 Chandler St. and Piedmont Avenue in Worcester.Â

A paramedic at the scene reported that he approached Curran after the crash and asked if he was injured. Curran replied that he had been struck in the chest when the airbag deployed, police reports said.
When the paramedic returned to Curran after tending to another patient, Curran had fled, police reports said.
Curran was later located in the emergency room of UMass Memorial Medical Center _ University Campus, where he told hospital staff members that he had been involved in a bar fight at a Worcester establishment.
A passenger in his vehicle has not been identified, police reports said.
Curran was arraigned Tuesday, Oct. 11 at his hospital bedside. He is scheduled to appear Nov. 8 in Worcester District Court if he is released from the hospital by then.Â
