Man Originally In Prison For House Breaks Back Again For 8 Years

WORCESTER, MA—A 42-year-old Leominster man, who was found guilty in 2012 of a series of house breaks and sentenced to prison for 7-8 years, was sentenced to prison for an additional eight years today after he was found in violation of his probation by being arrested last year on new charges, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.

The sentence came after Superior Court Judge Paul Wilson last week denied David King’s motion to suppress a police search of his apartment and found him to be in violation of his probation, said the DA.

King was sentenced to 7-8 years in state prison with three years of probation to follow in 2012 for breaking into houses in 2010 in various towns in Worcester and Middlesex Counties.

King was released from prison last August and arrested a month later following a joint investigation into house breaks by detectives from Uxbridge, Oxford, Medway, Shrewsbury, Southborough, Grafton, Leominster and Littleton.

As a result of the investigation, police executed a search warrant on King’s apartment and discovered hundreds of pieces of property believed to have been stolen from homes throughout Central Massachusetts.
