Grafton Historical Society museum is now open weekly.

The museum is now open every Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

An influx of trained volunteers has allowed the public to explore the museum and its treasures every week, Grafton Historical Society president Linda Casey said.

“There really is quite a lot of depth to the collection,’’ she said. “We have some really good stories.’’

The museum is filled with exhibits and information that reflects the town’s history. Features include a look at the town’s shoe-manufacturing history, the mill villages and the everyday items of from the past that showcase residents’ daily lives back in time.

Scanned archives of obituaries of town residents from the 1940s on.

Historical research on the town’s old homes, with information on their architectural history and ownership records.

The museum encourages World War II veterans to visit during these hours and participate in informal roundtable discussions of their wartime experiences.
