New Principal at Grafton Elementary

She has been the principal of Richer Elementary School in Marlborough for the past five years. As principal of the Richer Elementary School, Mrs. Stocklin has developed a reputation as an exceptional, student-centered leader, Superintendent of Schools James Cummings said in a prepared statement.

He said she has a strong track record of working collaboratively to create positive and enriching learning environments for all students. As a principal, he said, Stocklin has developed effective special education programming, built curriculum that is comprehensive and challenging, and has helped foster a school community defined by high levels of engagement and communication.

Prior to becoming a principal, Stocklin was an assistant principal in the Westford Public Schools for two years. Mrs. Stocklin has a very strong background in teaching and learning that is founded on an 18-year teaching career.

As a teacher, Stocklin taught grades three and four in Virginia, Maryland, and in the Berlin-Boylston Public Schools prior to entering into administration.

Stocklin earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from The University of Maryland at College Park and a master's degree in educational leadership and management from Fitchburg State University.

Stocklin will be starting as principal at Grafton Elementary School on Monday, Aug. 22.
