Selectman John Carlson said that he has learned to put the town-issued green bag inside a clear plastic bag to help ensure it will not tear apart.
Although this solution may work, Mizikar noted that “the idea is for people not to have to do that.’’

Selectman Brook Padgett said the drawstrings create a problem. Mizikar said the drawstring version was selected because residents requested them.
Mizikar has suggested that residents still having difficulties with the new batch of bags should contact him. Residents can return their current bags for a new sleeve at no cost when the new supply is in, he said.
