
She leaves her devoted husband of 54 years Joseph W. Stines; four children, Nancy M. Banks and her husband Michael, Daniel J. Stines, Carol A. Vulter and her husband James, Jennifer A. Schofield and her husband Jack, all of Grafton, six grandchildren Melissa , Kristen, Ryan, Andrea, Josie, Johnny and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Stines was predeceased by her parents, Walter F. and Bessie M. (Stephens) Jordan, a grandson, Kevin Vulter, and her sister June Horton.

She was born in Worcester Jan. 24, 1927, and was a lifelong Grafton resident. Mrs. Stines worked as a telephone operator for ten years at the former Grafton State Hospital before raising her family.
She was a graduate of Grafton High School with the class of 1945 and a lifelong parishioner of St. Philip's Catholic Church. Doris' greatest joy was time spent with her family, particularly caring for her grandchildren. She loved vacations on Cape Cod and Myrtle Beach S.C. along with ballroom dancing with her husband, Joe.

Her family would like to thank Aseracare of Auburn for the compassion and care they provided during her illness. The family suggests memorial donations to the Grafton Food Bank, P.O. Box 324 Grafton MA 01519 in lieu of flowers.
All are invited to calling hours at , 152 Worcester St., North Grafton from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday May 30 in , 12 West St., Grafton Center. All are respectfully requested to meet at the church. She will then be laid to rest in in Grafton.
