Edward S. Kamilewicz, 86, died Jan. 18, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Marcia (Wilcox) Kamilewicz; they have been together for 40 years, having married in 1988. He is also survived by a sister Gertrude “Trudy” Mongeau; nieces Donna Wilcox, Lisa Woods, Becky Kender, Linda Leary, Susan Sciarro; nephews, Jon Mongeau, Bruce Wilcox Jr., Robert “Jimmy” and David Kender; eight grandnieces and nephews; 13 great grandnieces and nephews.
Mr. Kamilewicz was predeceased by a brother Stanley Kamilewicz, brothers-in-law Leroy and Bruce Wilcox, William Mongeau, sister-in-law Myrtle Kender, nephew Kenneth Kender, grandniece Michelle Kender.

Ed was born in Boston June 9, 1925, the son of the late Stephen and Alice (Bobola) Kamilewicz, and lived many years in the Boston area before moving to Grafton in 1972. He was a US Navy WW II veteran serving as a radioman, flagman aboard The USS Mount McKinley and USS Panament support vessel on The Am Phibs in The Asiatic Pacific Theatre from 1943 to 1946.
He was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and The Victory Medal. Ed worked as a sheet metal mechanic for 54 years. He was an avid salt water fisherman during the 1950s to the 1970s, having been a member of Mass Beach Buggy Association. He also was an avid black powder hunter and shooter in competitions and a teacher of the sport.

He also held memberships in The Singletary Rod & Gun Club, The First Congress New England Muzzle Loaders and The National Muzzle Loaders Rifle Associations.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at , 1 South St., Grafton. The family will receive people in The Russell Hall Fellowship Room following the service.
