Play Ball! Girls' Softball Season Starting

Grafton Girls Softball will open the 2012 season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at

In addition to a full slate of games, the Opening Day festivities will also include a live DJ, food, a basket raffle, and a silent auction. All players will also participate in the Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run competition at Opening Day. 

This year's opening ceremonies will include a small ceremony to honor local veterans, featuring the Color Guard from Grafton's American Legion Delisle-Goulet Post 92. Veterans and other residents are invited.

Opening Day Schedule 

9:45 a.m.: Players report to Nelson Library parking lot

10 a.m.: Procession and Opening Ceremonies

10:15 a.m.: The DailyGrafton.com vs. Millbury (Field 1); CSR Financial vs. American Legion Delisle-Goulet Post 92 (Field 2); The Rockets vs. Fabulous Floors (Field 3)

11:30  a.m.: Grafton Credit Union vs. Gaudette Insurance (F1); Savers Bank vs. Unibank (F2); New World Van Lines vs. All-Phase Glass (Cole) vs. Grafton Lions Club (F3); Monica Rao DMD vs. Etre Builders (F4).

12:15 p.m.: All-Phase Glass (Jr.) vs. Knapik Builders vs. Forefront Business Solutions (F1); Holland Lawn Service vs. Remas Executive Realty (F2)

1:45 p.m.: Raffle drawings & Pitch, Hit & Run results.
