Power Fully Restored [Poll]
National Grid reports that all power in Massachusetts has been restored.

Power is now restored throughout Grafton.
National Grid issued a statement last night confirming that power is now restored in all of Massachusetts.
“This storm created a tremendous hardship for many of our customers and I am truly grateful for their patience during this ordeal,” said Marcy Reed, National Grid president, Massachusetts. “In more than 20 years working for National Grid and its predecessor company, Mass Electric, this is by far the worst and most widespread damage I have seen on our system.”

A 12-hour snowstorm hit Grafton in the late afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 29. Heavy, wet snow took down trees and wires across the town. Widespread power outages were reported within hours of the start of the storm, leaving many in the dark well into the following week.
The storm closed the schools and caused the town emergency shelter to open.

According to the statement from National Grid, the storm “knocked out power to more than three million electric customers from the mid-Atlantic to New England, including more than 421,000 National Grid customers in Massachusetts.
The company reported, “More than 4,000 field workers, including National Grid personnel and crews from more than 13 states and Canada worked around the clock to repair severe damage to the electricity network caused by the storm.”
