Power may take until Wednesday night to be restored, according to a representative from National Grid.
The representative attended an emergency meeting at 5 p.m. with selectmen, the town administrator, school superintendent, police chief, fire chief, emergency management director and the shelter director.
The shelter is open for anyone in town without power, emergency management director Ray Mead reports.
