Power Outages Could Drop to Hundreds
Officials are hopeful that 95 percent of the town will have power by tonight.

Outages should be down to a few hundred in town by the end of the day, Town Emergency Management Director Ray Mead reports.
He hopes that nearly 95 percent of customers will be back on line by tonight.
As a result, the shelter at the may close at the end of the day, Mead said.

There were 1,300 customers without power this morning. All of the main line repairs have been made and National Grid is now focusing on restoring customer power.Â
Home owners with damaged service connections must get an electrician to make the necessary repairs before National Grid will restore power to that particular home.Â

National Grid will disconnect the service wire to the affected house at the street so that the remainder of the street can be energized.
