Ride Honors Late Grafton Biker, Chef

Geva's Ride to Remember salutes Cliff Giovannucci.

A motorcycle ride will travel 110 miles Saturday, May 7 to honor the memory of a Grafton man killed last year in an accident.

Cliff Giovannucci, 48, was killed April 24, 2010 in a motorcycle crash. He left behind his wife, Debra, and two children, Amanda, 18, and Jonathan, 12.

 He was the director of food services and lead instructor at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough for many years. His students knew him as "Chef G."

The ride begins at 10 a.m. Riders should arrive at the parking lot across from , Route 122A, South Grafton, between 8:45 and 9:45 AM for staging. Although able to register at that time, pre-registering is preferred through the website, www.gevasride.com.  

The ride will wind through scenic byways of New England before ending at the Hudson Elks Pavilion for a cookout and music.

 Non-riders are invited to the Elks between 2 and 3 p.m. The festivities will wrap up around 6 p.m.
