Tellers there regularly keep containers of treats. These dog snacks, along with their completed transactions, are given to customers accompanied by their four-legged friends.
The Grafton location will be the only area bank to offer such a service, Bruneau said. The Grafton site is also the only Savers location to try this.
They plan to test the program for three months.
The program began yesterday, but the official launch will be at ther. Dogs will be vaccinated from 9 to 11 a.m. and cats from 11 a.m. to noon. Promotional information will be available then.
Photos of the pets that participate in the program will be displayed at the branch, Bruneau said.
