School Community Rooting for Mrs. Brawn
GES media clerk was injured when leaping to escape fire.

The entire school community is thinking about Sandra Brawn and wishing her well as she recovers from , Superintendent of Schools Jay Cummings said.
“We wish her a speedy recovery,’’ he said.
She serves as a media clerk at the school.

She was injured when she jumped 10 to 12 feet from a second-floor window onto a landing below. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Cummings is hoping to get more information about her condition. He is keeping the staff aware of the situation.

“We’re extremely thankful that the injuries are relatively minor compared to what could have happened,’’ Cummings said.

She is beloved by the students and staff at Grafton Elementary School, he said. “She’s absolutely fantastic,’’ she said. “She’s an integral part of the school community at Grafton Elementary School.’’
