Get up and close with alpacas and learn about the care of these intriguing animals at the Angel Hair Alpaca free annual open house and shearing day at the farm, 66 Wesson St., North Grafton.
The event will be held Friday, May 20 from noon to 6 p.m.
The animals are due for their annual cut. The shearer will be in after noon and will explain how and why alpaca shearing is performed.

Parking is available from . Volunteers are needed to gather and sort fleece. Refreshments are free.
 The retail tent will  feature alpaca finished goods for sale.Â
