Teams Savor the Spell of Success

They sat for a spell. And donned in colorful costumes and using their best vocabulary knowledge, participants in the Grafton Education Alliance Community Spelling Bee and Raffle Friday night kept the audience at entertained.

In the end, the following teams took the top prizes:

Best Spellers: Grafton Soccer Club: The Magic Spells. Team members: Siobhan Toscano, Shelly Dwyer, and Jill Recchia

Most Original Team Name: Grafton Girls Softball Association: Drag Bunters

Most Team Spirit: Sponsored by the Grafton News, Board of Selectmen. Team members: David Ross, Brook Padgett and Peter Adams

Most Original Costume, Grafton Lions Club, Team Lions. Team members: Maureen Wojnar, Mike Ponting and Dave Robbins.
