
will host its second Grafton History Cemetery Tour from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at
This year’s cemetery tour features eight new stories of people who have made an impact on the community’s life and history.
Costumed interpreters will share stories that include Civil War chaplain Rev. William Scandlin, historian Catherine Warren and local sports star Emmett Ludy, one of the 19 brave Grafton residents who gave their lives for their country in World War II.

“We had a wonderful time last fall with our first Grafton History Cemetery Tour, and the enthusiasm of our interpreters has carried over to this year,'' said Grafton Historical Society President Linda Casey in a prepared statement. "Riverside Cemetery is one of our community’s most beautiful places, and in October the autumn foliage should be spectacular.''
Tours start promptly every half hour beginning at 1 p.m. The last tour of the afternoon starts at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets for the tour are $5 for Grafton Historical Society members and $8 for general admission. Tickets are available the day of the event at Riverside Cemetery’s Hudson Avenue entrance.
Parking is available along Hudson Avenue. There is no event parking on Millbury Street. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 9.
