Town Counsel: Nelson Land Will Not Be Lost

Selectman John Dowling wants to get the word out that the Nelson property will not revert back to the Nelson heirs should the library close.

The is now a volunteer effort on land that also houses a park and recreational area, all of which is town property. Dowling said rumors are floating through town that the land will be lost to the town should the library close is not true.

An opinion from Town Counsel verifies that the land will remain town property, even if the library were to close.
