Chair of the Ministerial Search Committee, Jessica Curtis said, “After a two year search process in which we considered more than 20 ministers, we are lucky to have gotten the best one for the job. Reverend Daniel’s warm and engaging personality will fit right in with the welcoming and caring culture of our church. We were struck by Rev. Daniel’s grounded and compassionate presence and his thoughtful and spiritual nature. We appreciate his dedication to his call to the ministry and his desire to spread the “good news” of Unitarian Universalism.”
Reverend Gregoire’s personal experience as the son of Haitian immigrants influences and enriches his ministry. He recently led a vigil in Grafton honoring the victims of the shooting in Orlando. Looking to the future of UUSGU, he said “I see us coming into our own as a congregation after 285 years and ready to share our story more broadly. At this moment we are on fire with hope. I see us ready to step out into the community and the world in new ways, expanding what it means to be a religious community in the 21st century. We are a people called to be more spiritually engaged, boldly compassionate, joyfully welcoming to all and fiercely committed to making real the promise of justice in our world.”
