
Grafton Community Television hosted five members of the Grafton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1497, including three of Grafton's World War II veterans, on a special episode of “Day Trip To History.’’
Naval Veteran Ed Such, Army Veteran Al Amour, and Army Air Corps Veteran Ken Larrivee joined “Day Trip To History’’ host Bob DeToma to recount the stories of service to their country in World War II. They joined Vietnam Veterans Stan Stopyra and VFW Post Commander Roland Miranda on the program.
This “Day Trip to History’’ program was created to bring further attention to the effort to have an outdoor granite monument to recognize Grafton veterans who served in World War II.

Fundraising for the monument, to be dedicated near the Grafton Common on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, continues under the direction of the and its World War II Monument Committee.

Grafton Community Television will air this special World War II veterans episode of Day Trip To History on Charter Channel 11 and Verizon Channel 34Â at noon Monday, Aug. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Thursday, Sept. 1, and at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3. Â
