Amorello, a Grafton native, served as a state senator and later as chairman of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.

The discovery came when staff members of the station were digitally encoding and archiving its aging VHS tape library to preserve Grafton events and local television programming in perpetuity.

During a visit to Wellesley in 1994, Romney filmed a commercial in a field next to the home of Audrey Egan’s parents.

Egan was the producer of the interview. Romney changed clothes for the shot at her parents’ home and her mother graciously ironed his flannel shirt.

During his visit, Romney learned that the woman's daughter, Audrey Egan, lived in Grafton and mentioned he was headed to town the next week for a fund-raiser for Amorello.

That led to the filming of an interview with Mitt Romney, his wife, Ann, and Amorello.

With the permission of Egan and fellow producer and Grafton Update host Jim Gallagher, that spot will air on GCTV at 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 and Thursday, Feb 23.
