On Tuesday, September 24th, two members of the Grafton Board of Registrars, Dan Fitzgerald and Lisa Yitts, visited Grafton’s Crescent Manor Rest Home to give residents the opportunity to register to vote.
The Manor, located at 5 Crescent St, is Grafton’s only nursing home facility and houses 58 residents. Due to the nature of this type of facility, turnover of residents is to be expected as their health needs change. This visit also provided an opportunity to verify if there were residents registered that no longer resided at the address.
It was an enjoyable and successful visit working with Lissette Candelaria and interacting with the residents who were interested in registering, or who just wanted confirmation that they were still registered. During the one-hour visit, there were 13 residents who registered to vote and 11 residents were identified as no longer residing at the facility.
