Wedding Crasher Case Moved

Grafton woman will be arraigned Thursday in Worcester.

A grand jury has returned indictments against two women, one of them from Grafton, who have been charged with crashing a wedding reception and stealing more than $250 in gifts intended for the newlyweds.

A Worcester County grand jury handed up the indictments Friday, according to Timothy J. Connolly, a spokesman for District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

The indictments charged Summer N. Igoe, 32, of 309 Providence Road, Grafton and Jenna Dasaro, 31, of 45 Lackey St., Westboro with conspiracy and two counts of larceny of more than $250.

They are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, July 28 at Worcester Superior Court, Connolly said. Their cases have been moved to superior court from Clinton District Court because of the indictments.

The women were arrested in connection with the theft of a box of gifts intended for a newlywed couple at their wedding reception May 21 at Wachusett Country Club in West Boylston, according to police reports.

Police said Igoe and a companion, Jenna Dasaro of Westborough, were observed on video surveillance at the club stealing two boxes of gifts at the reception.

The two women, both wearing black dresses, entered the property at separate times but worked jointly to pull off the scheme, police said.

The gift boxes they stole contained more than $250 in cash and checks, police said.

A similar incident happened May 29 at Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, State Police learned. Two days later, Igoe agreed to be interviewed by State Police and allowed her home to be searched, police said.

She then gave a full confession, police said. Several items related to the crime were found during the search of her home, police said.
