WINNER: Cat Photo Contest

Patch readers love their cats!

Our photo contest this week attracted more than 250 photos of feline friends. (And even one photo of a black pug: yes, we noticed. :-)

But we could only choose one as our winner.

All photos uploaded before 6 p.m. yesterday were under consideration to be crowned the winner in Patch's Picture of the Week Contest.

This was not easy. After deliberating, we had to go with Samantha Jefferis' shot of Sammy, who was adopted last month.

"He was abandoned and barely made it, but as you can see here he is now healthy and very cute!" Samantha wrote in the caption with her entry.
