Youngster Earns A in Bee

  • Whiz Kid's Name and Age: Jack Merkle, 12
  • Whiz Kid's School/Church/Community Center:  Sixth grader at
  • Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: He won the Grafton Middle School's National Geographic Geography Bee.
  • Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Jack won the bee, despite being in one of the lower grades at the middle school. " I have an awesome Social Studies teacher, Mr. Mitchell, I love geography and I just had fun competing,'' he said.
