Youth Sports Expert to Speak in Grafton

Bob Bigelow is a guest speaker at a Youth Sports Night that will be held March 13.

One of the foremost youth sports speakers in the country, Bob Bigelow, will be in town this month to discuss positive changes and concepts related to youth sports.

"Grafton Youth Sports Night," which is free and open to parents of young Grafton athletes, will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 13 in the high school auditorium.

Sponsored by the Grafton Soccer Club, the event's focus is on youth sports and what can be done to improve the experience for children. Included in the issues expected to be discussed is the misguided focus on winning above all.

Bigelow is a former NBA first round draft choice and played four years for the Kansas City Kings, Boston Celtics, and San Diego Clippers. He played collegiately at the University of Pennsylvania for Hall of Fame Coach Chuck Daly. 

Also speaking on March 13 is Dr. Adam Naylor, a renowned sports psychologist whose clients have included Olympians and Stanley Cup champions. Currently, he oversees mental conditioning services at Boston University.
