The Board of Selectmen last week approved extended hours on New Year's Eve for <a href="https://hingham.patch.com/listings/stars-on-hingham-harbor">Stars on Hingham Harbor</a>, <a href="https://hingham.patch.com/listings/caffe-tosca">Caffe Tosca</a> and <a href="https://hingham.patch.com/listings/tosca">Tosca</a>. The restaurants will be allowed to remain open until 2 a.m. the morning of Jan. 1, 2014, a Wednesday morning. Tosca normally closes at 9 p.m. on Tuesday night, Tosca Caffe at 9 p.m. and Stars until 1 a.m. The officials approved the hours – a typical occurrence each year – contingent on approval by the police chief, according to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YvAH8RNxWY" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a broadcast of the selectmen's Dec. 19 meeting by HCAM-TV</a>.
