Aquarion Water Company Initiates Voluntary Water Restrictions
Hingham residents are being asked to curb outdoor water usage because of the high temperatures.

The Aquarion Water Company of Massachusetts has initiated voluntary outdoor water restrictions for residents of Hingham, Hull and North Cohasset.
The company is asking customers to limit water usage for irrigation systems and sprinklers because the hot weather has driven a high demand for water.
According to a release from Aquarion, "Homes with even house number addresses can water before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. on even numbered days. Homes with odd numbered addresses can water before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. on odd numbered days."
Handheld hoses are acceptable at any time.
Aquarion has also provided other tips for water conservation efforts:
• Allow grass to grow longer -- taller grass shades itself, is healthier and requires less water.
• Be careful not to allow irrigation water to fall on paved areas.
• Use brooms or blowers, instead of water, to clean decks, driveways and sidewalks.
