Hingham High Class of 2014 Plans Special Olympics Benefit

The registration deadline for the first ever Hingham High School 5K to benefit the Special Olympics of Massachusetts is Friday, June 14.

The Hingham High School Class of 2014 will hold a fundraiser 5K on Sunday, June 16, at Wompatuck State Park, to benefit the Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA).

The 5K, which costs is $20 for students and $25 for non-students, will begin at 9 a.m. this Sunday.

According to Karen Beatty, Health Resource Teacher, "SOMA helps athletes with intellectual disabilities gain confidence and build a positive self-image, which they take with them into their homes, classrooms, jobs, and communities."
