Hingham Resident Receives Men’s Health Champion Award

Matthew Shadrick, Executive Vice President of Eastern Benefits Group, will recognized at the Whittier Street Men's Health Summit.

A Hingham resident will be one of five recipients of the Men's Health Champion Award at the Whittier Street Health Center’s Men’s Health Summit on June 29.

Matthew Shadrick, the Executive Vice President of Eastern Benefits Group, will be recognized at 12th annual summit at the Roxbury facility. He will be honored for "his commitment to both promoting and educating others about healthy lifestyles."

Shadrick leads the Employee Benefits division for Eastern Benefits Group, with over 25 years of consulting experience in employee benefits. He is also an award winning author and a member of both the New England Employee Benefits Council and the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters.

The summit, which promotes the importance of getting screened for diseases, will feature a keynote address from fitness expert and choreographer Billy Blanks, Jr.

“I am honored to present Whittier’s Health Champion Award to five deserving recipients this year, each who have demonstrated exemplary commitment towards improving both the physical and mental wellness of our community members,” said Frederica Williams, President and CEO of Whittier Street Health Center. “Our goal is to continue to raise the awareness of how important it is for our men to take care of their health, maintain healthy lifestyles and be positive role models.”
