The Hingham Retirement Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Town Hall to consider increasing the base on which the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) is calculated for fiscal year 2015.   Under Massachusetts General Law, retirement systems may increase the maximum base on which the COLA is calculated in multiples of $1,000, according to a notice <a href="http://www.hingham-ma.com/kmitan/articleback.php?newsid=557" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">on the town website</a>.  Presently that amount is $12,000. All interested parties are welcome.

A meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013.
