Inly School Announces New Scholarship Opportunities for Applicants

Merit awards totaling $45,000 seek to attract families interested in innovative curriculum

January 30, 2023, Scituate, MA – Inly School, an innovative toddler through grade 8 school in Scituate, is committed to cultivating creative thinkers and the world’s problem solvers. In that spirit, the school has established two merit award opportunities for 2023–2024 grade 1–6 applicants.

The Ideas+ Merit Award, consisting of six (6) $5,000 grants, will support elementary students with a passion for creating, imagining, and problem-solving for the future. Grade 1–6 applicants who have an idea that could positively impact the community or support a non-profit organization are encouraged to apply. Recipients of the Ideas+ Award will have the opportunity to develop and prototype their idea among other innovators throughout the 2023–2024 school year.

“Innovation is in our DNA,” says Inly Head of School Donna Milani Luther. “As a Montessori-plus school, we are committed to helping children develop the critical-thinking skills, creative skills, and social skills that will enable them to live well and contribute to the collective good. We want children to develop confidence in their ability and learn to engage with other problem-solvers.”

In addition to the Ideas+ Merit Award, Inly’s Experience Montessori+ Award Fund will offer six (6) $2,500 grants for incoming elementary students in grades 1–6 who have previously attended an accredited Montessori school. The goal is to provide an affordable opportunity for families who value the Montessori approach and want to experience Inly’s unique Montessori+ program. Each grant will result in a direct tuition reduction for one (1) academic year and be renewed annually for a total of three (3) years.

Families interested in taking advantage of the Experience Montessori+ Award should express interest to Courtney Russillo, Director of Admission, during the admission process. Families interested in the Ideas+ Merit Award should encourage their grade 1–6 applicant to submit a 3–5 minute video explaining their idea. Video submissions should be sent to ideasplus@inlyschool.org by March 1, 2023.
