• Future looking bright for the Hingham football program (wickedlocal.com) — Hingham High football just wrapped up an impressive 8-3 season, capped by a 50-0 Thanksgiving win over rival Scituate and a strong playoff showing. Coach TJ Byrne credits a senior-heavy roster, standout quarterback Jake Varholak, and a dominant offensive line and defense with setting up a bright future for the Harbormen program.
   

• Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Hingham (wcvb.com) — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle late Wednesday morning near 136 Main Street in Hingham and was taken to South Shore Hospital. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and was also evaluated at a hospital, and investigators are still determining what caused the crash and whether any charges will follow.
