Police Log: Stolen Moped, Liquor Bottle Theft

The following excerpts are from the Hingham police log from Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4. The arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 3

At 3:51 p.m. a caller reported three males stole liquor from the Stop and Shop Supermarket. Three males, one wearing a Celtics jersey and the other two wearing shorts and t-shirts, each took a bottle of alcohol, concealed it in their shorts and left the store. They were last seen in a black Hyndui four-door sedan.

Thursday, July 4

At 12:12 p.m. a caller from Main Street reported a stolen bike. The bike was left out overnight and was gone in the morning.

At 6:38 p.m. Pierre Langley, 46 of Hull, was arrested for use of a motor vehicle without authority, droning alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle, failure to use car in backing, starting, stopping or turning, giving an officer a false name or address and operating a vehicle with a revoked license.

At 7:40 p.m. a 911 call regarding a possible stolen moped was received from a Summer Street gas station. Jacob Deitch, 24 of Quincy, was arrested for receiving stolen property over $250, disorderly conduct and possessing or receiving a motor vehicle with a defaced VIN.
