There is the potential for heavy snow along with strong winds across the far Southeast New England coast today. The NWS is predicting between 4 and 8 inches for Hingham. The initially wet snow combined with strong winds could result in downed tree limbs and a few power outages, according to the<a href="http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?zoneid=MAZ019&amp;zflg=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> NWS</a>. Winds will be between 25 and 35 mph with 50 mph gusts and cause poor visibility and possibly near-whiteout conditions for a time. Untreated roads and walkways will become snow covered.
