Scared Caller Reports Active Break-In, Missing Child Found

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Feb. 25

8:27 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on East Main Street. No injuries were reported.

1:37 p.m.: The Hopkinton Fire Department responded to a fire alarm on Hayward Street. The homeowner had burnt food.

2:09 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Main Street. Jefferson Silva, 36, of 16 James St., Malden was arrested. Silva faces warrant charges of operating without a license and operating an unregistered vehicle.

4:13 p.m.: A caller from Greenwood Road reported an on-going issue of aggressive dogs running loose in the neighborhood.

8:48 p.m.: A caller from Fenton Street reported that her son had been missing for more than an hour. Officers responded and found the boy in the driveway.

11:12 p.m.: A 911 caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that several men had broken in to her apartment. The caller said she was hiding from the men while whispering to a dispatcher. Multiple officers responded and checked the entire home, inside and out, but did not find any signs of a break-in or footprints in the snow.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

8:34 a.m.: An officer from the Hopkinton Police Department responded to a crash on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

2:26 p.m.: An officer responded to a crash on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

5:13 p.m.: An off duty police officer reported a crash on Wood Street at Elm Street. One vehicle was towed.
