Dog Suspected in Broken Window Case

Tuesday, March 5

5:41 a.m.: A caller reported a possible fire on Twin Island Road. An officer from the Hopkinton Police Department responded but the reports were unfounded.

2:25 p.m.: An officer assisted the Fire Department with a fire alarm activation on Wood Street. The building was checked and was found to be OK.

3:52 p.m.: A caller from Baker Lane reported that her dog pulled a strange carcass out of the woods. An officer reported that it appeared to be a deer or other animal.

Wednesday, March 6

10:27 a.m.: The Tree Department reported a tree on Alprilla Farm Road that was in danger of falling over and damaging the roadway. An officer responded for a detail while the tree crew worked.

4:59 p.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that a window on their house had been broken and they believed it was a break-in attempt. An officer determined that the window had been broken from the inside, possibly by the homeowner’s dog.
