Holliston's Ginny Roach is set to compete in the 30th annual "Run of the Charles" canoe and kayak race on April 29.  She is registered in the 24 mile category.  "The Race features paddling races for all skill levels, from expert to beginner.  The $5,000 Professional Flatwater Canoe Marathon draws elite paddlers from across the United States and Canada while the 24-Mile Relay Race... [brings] out recreational paddlers ranging in age from 11 to 80," a press release for the event said.  The event is meant to celebrate the health of the river with day-long entertainment including live bands and plenty of food available.  To register for the race, visit the Charles River <a href="http://www.crwa.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">website</a>.
