Hopkinton Police Log: Officer Assaulted During Arrest, Two Drug Arrests

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 8

11:05 a.m.: The Holliston Police Department notified the Hopkinton Police Department that an assault had taken place in town. An officer was able to make contact with the victim on Main Street who informed him the alleged perpetrator was headed back to Framingham on foot. Isaac J. Brown, 21, of 350 Concord St., Framingham was arrested. Brown was charged with assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

2:24 p.m.: A resident reported a hit and run crash on Main Street.

2:38 p.m.: A caller reported an ATV on the lake near Westcott Drive. An officer responded but did not observe any tracks.

3:50 p.m.: A caller from Alexander Road reported that a man rang their doorbell around 2 p.m. then crouched down and ran away when the door was answered.

5:56 p.m.: Officers assisted an ambulance that went off the road on West Main Street.

6:21 p.m.: An officer checked a report that a plow had been pushing snow in to the road on Oakhurst Road.

Saturday, Feb. 9

12:03 a.m.: An officer stopped with a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. The driver had already called AAA.

8:12 a.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department after a female fell on Rafferty Road and seriously injured her ankle.

5:52 p.m.: An officer assisted with a vehicle that was stuck on Pond Street.

Sunday, Feb. 10

12:46 a.m.: A vehicle was winched out of a snow bank on Pond Street after an officer discovered it was stuck.

12:47 p.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on Blueberry Lane. One person was taken to the hospital and one vehicle was towed.

3:02 p.m.: A 911 caller reported the smell of natural gas on Trevor Lane.

3:31 p.m.: A caller complained that Pond Street was not plowed wide enough and it was dangerous to drive on.

3:54 p.m.: An officer spoke with a resident of Wilson Street about throwing snow in to the roadway. The resident removed the snow from the road.

7:52 p.m.: An officer spoke with a driver in the Price Chopper parking lot that had been involved in a crash on Route 495. The incident was transferred to the Massachusetts State Police.

8:08 p.m.: The fire department responded to a report of furnace fumes in a house on Old Farm Road.

Monday, Feb. 11

7:48 a.m.: One car was towed after it crashed on Fruit Street.

7:53 a.m.: Two cars were involved in a crash on Old Farm Road. No injuries were reported.

12:18 p.m.: The fire department responded to a report of natural gas on Ash Street.

12:59 p.m.: A car was towed after it went off the road on East Main Street.

10:00 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Elm Street. The driver, Peter E. Cruse, 44, of 30 Haven Way, Ashland was arrested and charged with operating with a suspended license, a license plate violation and possession of a class B substance. The passenger, Theresa R. Deluca, 42, of 4 Lincoln St., Apt. 3, Milford was arrested and charged with possession of a class C substance.

11:16 p.m.: An officer assisted the Ashland Fire Department with a fire in their town on Main Street.
