Hopkinton Police Log: Animal Control Rescues Bat, Dead Deer

Tuesday, Jan. 29

4:40 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked on the side of North Street with no notes.

11:27 a.m.: An officer assisted the Southborough Police Department on Woodland Road in their town with a disabled motor vehicle.

12:35 p.m.: A caller from Susan Drive reported that after entering her house from the garage she noticed what she believed to be a break-in through the front door.  Officers searched the house and the surrounding area.

5:42 p.m.: Officers responded to a car crash on Main Street. No injuries were reported.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

6:23 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle off the road at the Mass. Pike / Route 495 interchange. A jeep was discovered that had went off the road southbound from Route 495 but was able to return to the road and continue on.

7:25 a.m.: The Animal Control Officer responded to a report of a bat in a house on Robbern Road.

7:45 a.m.: A caller reported a vehicle that had been parked on the side of North Street since Monday.

8:14 a.m.: The Hopkinton Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation on Main Street.

1:29 p.m.: A resident went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to report a red jeep with two flat tires on Marathon Way. An officer responded and spoke to the operator who had hit a curb and was waiting for AAA.

1:29 p.m.: A resident with in to the police station to reported that a white van was parked near a lake on West Main Street for more than a day. The responding officers determined that the vehicle may have been storage for hockey nets on the ice.

2:38 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a dead deer on the side of the road on East Main Street. Animal Control was notified to pick up the animal.
