Hopkinton Woman Charged with Drunken-Driving, Leaving Scene of Crash

Wednesday, Feb. 27

7:39 a.m.: One vehicle was towed after a two-car crash on West Main Street.

10:29 a.m.: A caller reported that he was not given the correct change after making a purchase at Country Farms.

11:47 a.m.: A caller reported a hit and run crash on West Main Street. The vehicle that fled had backed in to the caller’s bumper.

11:28 p.m.: Officers from the Hopkinton Police Department responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver who hit a pole in front of a West Main Street business before fleeing. An officer stopped the vehicle in question on Hayden Rowe Street and arrested Melissa L. Mayer, 25, of 56 Hayden Rowe St. Mayer was charged with leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and drunken-driving.

Thursday, Feb. 28

6:32 a.m.: A car and an empty school bus were involved in a crash on Main Street. The car was towed.

3:57 p.m.: A 911 caller from A Street reported the smell of an electrical fire. NStar electric was on the scene when officers arrived and requested an emergency detail.

9:55 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a vehicle in a snow bank on Edge Hill Road. Officers responded and reported that the vehicle was unstuck and on its way. An officer responded to the residence where the vehicle was registered to follow up.
