Instagram Founder and Holliston Native Worth $400m After Sale
Instagram, a popular image sharing app created by Holliston's Kevin Systrom, sold to Facebook for $1 billion Monday.

Holliston's Kevin Systrom, co-founder of Instagram, made an estimated $400 million in a deal selling his company to Facebook on Monday.
Started in San Francisco, the 18-month-old startup created an app that lets users take and share photos over mobile phones. Systrom's 40 percent share in the company netted him the fortune after Instagram's sale, according to the Boston Globe.
Systrom grew up in Holliston, moving to the west coast after he graduated from High School in 2002.
