Local Gymnasts Compete In State Contest
The results of Shen's Gymnastics students in the USA Gymnastics Mass State Championship.

Shen’s Gymnastics Academy of Holliston would like to congratulate all their team members that qualified for the USA Gymnastics Mass State Championship and announce the success of several of their gymnasts on both the girls and boys teams at the 2012 Mass State Championships.
Danielle Brucato, age 13 of Holliston is a Level 8 gymnast, she is the State Champion on Vault with a 9.450 and placed 5th All Around. Danielle qualified to The Level 8 Regionals All Star Team for Massachusetts being held in Waterville, ME at the end of the month. Level 8, Samantha Magnarelli placed 3rd on Floor in the 16 and above age group.

Danirose Billings, 12 of Hopedale, is the Level 6 State Champion All Around in her age group, as well as State Champion on Beam and Bars with a 9.450 & 9.475 respectively. Lauren Pearl, 8 of Milford also a Level 6 gymnast is the State Champion on Vault with a score of 9.5 and placed 2nd in the All Around with a score of 37.55 as well as 2nd on bars, beam and 3rd on floor with a 9.425.
Casey Palmer, 13 of Hopkinton placed 3rd on Beam for Level 6. Our Level 7 gymnasts took top spots, Sydney Chemini, 12 of Medway placed 5th on Floor with a 9.35 and in the 10 year old age group Abby Bryant of Medway placed 5th on beam with a 9.2 and Lucy Hebert of Hopkinton placed 3rd on Bars and 5th on Vault with a 9.3. In the 7-9 age group Isabella Garrett from Sherborn, placed 4th on Bars with a 9.175 and Marigold Garrett placed 4th on Beam 9.35 and 5th on Bars. For the Level 5 team, 8 year old Joella Mills of N. Attleboro placed 5th on Floor with a 9.225.

We also have several Boys team Champions. Matthew Long of Hopkinton is the Level 4 State Champion in the All-Around with a score of 88.9 and he is also the State Champion on the Pommel with a score of 15.3. Matthew also placed 2nd on Rings and High Bar, and 4th on floor and Parallel Bars in the 10-11 age group. Brian Best of Hopkinton is the Level 5 State Champion on Pommel with a 14.0 and placed 4th on the High Bar and 6th All Around in the 12+ age group.
Andrew Mace of Hopkinton came in 2nd on the Vault, 5th on Floor and 5th in the All Around for Level 6 in the 12 and above age group. Massimo Sweet Level 6, from Ashland, placed 2nd on Floor with a 15.3 and 4th on Vault in the 10-11 age group. Arthur Chukasyan of Natick placed 4th on Vault for Level 4 and Sawyer Garrett of Sherborn placed 6th on Parallel Bars and 7th on Floor and All Around in the heavily populated group of 6-7 year olds.
Congratulations to the boys who qualified for Regionals at States. Andrew Wallace Level 10, Brian Best, Andrew Mace, and Massimo Sweet! Regionals are being held in Braintree over the weekend of April 14 &15th.
Good luck to all our athletes competing at Regionals and to the Level 3 &4 girls teams at States over the next month and again congrats to all the team members for a great year.
