Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Domestic Assault

Early Sunday Morning the police responded to a domestic violence call when they encountered the suspect.

At 3:25 Sunday morning, the Holliston Police Department responded to a report of domestic violence at 2174 Washington St.

According to a press release Sergeant David Gatchell and Officer Matthew Stone encountered the caller when they responded and were directed to an area of the house where the suspect was located.

“The reporting party also described two incidents of domestic assault that had been committed by the suspect since his arrival prior to the 911 call,” the release said.

After interviewing the suspect, the caller and other residents of the house officers charged Michael J. Lemarque, 22, of 2174 Washington St. with attempted murder, assault and battery on a person 60 years or older resulting in injury, assault and battery and malicious destruction of property more than $250.

Lemarque was held at the Holliston Police Department on $15,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court on Monday.
