Carol A. Shutt was a retired 911 operator and Drum and Bugle Corps member.

Carol A. Shutt, 74, of Holliston, passed away Friday, March 2 at the Timothy Daniels House in Holliston. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Nolan) and James McKenzie.
Carol was a retired 911 operator for the city of Boston and was a member of the St. Anthony’s Drum and Bugle Corps.
She is survived by her son, William J. Shutt and his wife Marie of Holliston, a daughter, Ellen Simpson of South Carolina; her siblings, Timothy McKenzie of Holbrook, Joan Ganshirt of Whitman, six grandchildren, Jenna, Amanda, Danielle, AnnMarie, Samantha, Angela, as well as 3 great-grandchildren and 8 nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings, James McKenzie, Maureen Brennan and Mary Lorriane McKenzie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
