Obituaries: Louis Rocco Raneri
Raneri was a veteran of the Korean conflict and resident of Holliston since 1962.

Louis Rocco Raneri, 86, of Holliston, passed away Monday, March 19 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Watertown, he was the son of the late Mary (Pirrela) and Pasquali Raneri. He was the former husband of Janet (Rockwood) Raneri of Hopedale.
A Corporal in the Army, Louis was a veteran of the Korean conflict. A resident of Holliston since 1962, he was a member of the Mt. Hollis Masonic Lodge in Holliston and was a musician who played throughout New England.

He is survived by two sons, Douglas Raneri of Montague, MA and James Raneri of Dana Point, CA; a sister, Gloria Arone of Watertown and three grandchildren. He also leaves behind his companion, Meryl Thompson of Millis and her children, Andy Thompson and Anne Thompson. He is predeceased by his son, Robert Raneri and three siblings, George, Mary and Agnes.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Holliston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 40 High Street Holliston. Arrangements are under the care ofthe Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston.
