5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 6

Today is June's "First Thursday."

1. First Thursday: Today is June's "First Thursday" event, brought to you by JP Centre/South Main Streets.

2. Traffic: There is a lot of midday roadwork going on along the Centre and South street areas (there was yesterday), thus creating traffic in the neighborhood. The 39 bus was even slowed.

3. Stony Brook Incident: A woman was struck and killed by an inbound Orange Line train at Stony Brook Station yesterday afternoon. Police continue to investigate the incident.

4. Weather: Today is shaping up to look a lot like yesterday, but can't say the same for the weekend.

5. Free Art: Admission to the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston is free to all ages every Thursday from 5-9 p.m.
