Former Jamaica Plain Brewery Turned Housing Complex Features Spacious Living Quarters

A new condominium complex in Jamaica Plain is offering prospective buyers a chance to call a pre-Prohibition brewery home.

The former site of the American Brewing Co. on 251 Heath Street has been transformed into the American Brewery Lofts. According to Curbed.com, each unit is quite spacious with included garaged parking space.

A recent unit to hit the market features 1,303 square feet of living space. It comes equipped with 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The asking price is listed at $550,000.

Based on photos of from other available units, it appears as if the brewery tastefully transitioned into prime living quarters.

Jamaica Plain was once favored as a spot for brewing beer because of the high-quality spring water supply that once served the area. Also the cost of land was cheap.
